Moving News

Well. Supposedly the buyers for our house have eveything in order to close. We are kind of nervous about this, because right up front, when the guy put in the offer, he said the last house he'd put an offer in on, the financing had fallen through the day before closing. Yikes!

Tim is trying to work things around so that we can close about a week early. Yay! I get to be houseless sooner! (insert eye roll here) I understand WHY he's doing it but grrrrr.

Our offer was accepted on the house in Richfield. So very excited about this because its a good sized house, on a corner lot and {WOO HOO!!} it has a yard. It will have about 2800 sq ft when we're done with it. I'm stoked, because it'll be about twice the size of the one we're in right now. Exciting yes, getting there, *sigh*. Gotta LOVE remodeling.

As we load all of our things into our box truck I am struck with the fact that we have entirely too much stuff. We have a whole pickup load of things to take to the thrift store. I sigh largely here because I see my wonderful intentions, of having a ginormous yard sale this year, get sucked down the drain. So much for making a little extra $$$ for summer trips. Grrrrr. I would rather donate it to Savers, though, rather than haul it up to the cities just to get rid of it there.

My house is not even emptying yet. We're still loading things from the garage. My entertainment center is bare as are my walls. I loaded up all the things that we won't need immediately when we move in. From experience I know it is futile to decorate when there is sheet rock dust flying around. I'm about head upstairs and break down the queen size spare bed to load. There's enough room in this load to put that in there. However, it's in Levi's room. Levi is asleep. Do I really want to wake him up... Not particularly. He wouldn't be to objective but I'd rather he catch a few more zzzzz's before I do that.

That's the news for now. I'll post more later.

Bath Time and Such

Dontcha love that hair?!

Levi was in terrible need of a bath after the weekend.

He hadn't had one in a while!

Gotta love that curly hair! But it's only curly when its wet!

Daddy was holding him up the other evening. I caught a little bit of the happy faces he was making.

Hanging out in the laundry basket before bathtime today. I need to get a bouncy seat for him!

Sorry they were a little blurry I had my camera set on the wrong setting.

Levi is starting to bat at things. He can grab the little things above him sometimes.

Micah got a bath today too. He stayed in so long his feet were soooo wrinkly! I had to get a shot of them.

Housing and Packing update, oh and some Pics too.

Well we had offers in on two houses up in the Minneapolis area and found out last night that, one of the offers, (the cheaper of the two) was not accepted. So technically, even though we're living in a house, we're homeless. Now I know, for those of you reading this... (Beth, Nicholle) we can stay with you, but you know what I mean.

I'll definatly let everybody know when we know something new.

Packing is going. Neither well nor bad. Tim has had work so we haven't packed together. Yesterday I packed about 25 tubs in the box truck after condensing that number from about 35. I took the empty tubs in the house and then packed those. Luckily I didn't hurt my back as I was afraid but at 2 a.m. I decided Tylenol would be my friend and I could get some sleep. OH! I am so sore today.

I was able to weed out a bunch of stuff for the thrift store and found a couple things that I brought in the house that I'd been looking for. (baby stuff)

I also brought in my saddle. (hee hee) Here is where my absolute hick roots will show.

Why you ask. Because of my motives of bringing it in. It needs oil. Horribly. I haven't oiled it since we moved to MN. But that's not the only reason why. Prepare yourself to roll your eyes. hahaha.

When I was a kid my dad used to bring home his saddle, once a year, generally in the winter time to oil it and make sure it was ready for the next springs use. He would have it smack dab in the middle of my mom's living room. Now for those of you who know my mother you know she HATES horses. She hates everything to do with horses and absolutely despised whenever my dad would bring his saddle home. For the one main reason: his saddle stunk up the house when it warmed up.

Why did I bring my saddle in the house?

Yeah, I wanted it to "stink" up my house. I miss home horribly and well... I guess I just wanted that smell. Most everybody knows my favorite smell? Horse sweat and leather. Sick I know but hey, I'm weird, what can I say.

So I am now waiting patiently for my saddle to warm up enough, to smell it up. hahahaha! I did snap some great shots of the kids on it though. To bad I didn't' have a better backdrop than the kitchen.

I even leaned Levi up against it but you can't see the saddle very well. I did get a great shot of his beautiful smile.
